Boomer buys seven at Magic Millions 2025

The first and arguably most important sale in Australasia for 2025 has been completed and Boomer Bloodstock was active, purchasing seven yearlings. With a mix of colts and fillies bought for clients destined for racing in Australia, Hong Kong and the US. 

Lot 3: Maurice x Tamarind Lane (Colt)

We struck early on Day 1, securing this striking colt by Maurice out of the Commands mare, Tamarind Lane, for $220,000 from Cressfield Stud. He has beautiful athleticism, with a balanced frame and a great walk that really stood out. He’s a half-brother to G3 winner Extremely Lucky and has all the makings of a standout performer in Hong Kong. Purchased for the Hong Kong Jockey Club, he will go into the program to be presented at the 2027 International Sale in Hong Kong.

Lot 6: Capitalist x Tarquinn Shadow (Colt)

Another value purchase for the Hong Kong Jockey Club, was this powerful son of Capitalist who was acquired for $100,000 from Bowness Stud. He is powerful through his shoulder and hip, with a natural strength that catches your eye straight away. Out of Stakes-winning mare Tarquinn Shadow, this colt boasts both speed and class in his pedigree and will be well suited to Hong Kong.

Lot 103: Toronado x Write The Score (Colt)

This standout colt by Swettenham Stud’s Toronado out of the city winning mare Write The Score was purchased for $400,000 from the proven G1 producing nursery in Daandine Stud. He has size and strength, an intelligent eye and a fluid walk. With a proven sire known for producing top Hong Kong performers, this yearling was high on the hit list for the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

Lot 249: Hellbent x Casadiva (Filly)

We made an early Day 2 move, purchasing this outstanding Hellbent filly for $370,000 from Yarraman Park Stud. Bred from the Fastnet Rock mare Casadiva, this filly was purchased for American client Catalyst Stable. With her strong pedigree and physical presence, this filly is all class. By Hellbent, she’s got a lovely athletic build, and there is just a touch of elegance about her that made her a must have for our client.

Lot 762: I Am Invincible x Palazzo Vecchio (Colt)

Another high-profile addition for the Hong Kong Jockey Club, this well-built colt by Yarraman Park Stud’s Champion Sire I Am Invincible, secured for $300,000 from Baramul Stud. Out of the Group 2-placed Palazzo Vecchio, he’s got the pedigree to back up his physical appeal. This colt offers a combination of proven performance and untapped potential with an incredible, well-built frame, deep girth, and a great attitude.

Lot 1001: Hellbent x Sugar Hill (Colt)

Closing out the final day of Book 1 in style, we secured this quality Hellbent colt with a powerful stride and a great presence for $425,000 from Yarraman Park Stud. Purchased for the Hong Kong Jockey Club, this colt hails from a family rich, including dual Group 1 winner In Her Time and is the ideal physical to exceed in Hong Kong combined with a lovely temperament.

Lot 1185: Spirit of Boom x Foxarelli (Filly)

We were pumped to secure this QTIS filly in Book 2. This stunning daughter of Spirit of Boom has got an incredible topline, a lovely feminine head, and a real sharpness about her. She was acquired for $160,000 in partnership with Beamish Bloodstock. She will head to Tony Gollan’s stable, giving her every chance to be successful on the track to chase both the QTIS and Magic Millions prizemoney on offer for two-year-olds.
