The Boomer Bloodstock purchased mare gave visiting Melbourne jockey Dean Yendall his first 2019 Perth feature in the Listed fillies and mares’ race.
She was in the open soon after straightening and finished powerfully to take her record to four wins from nine appearances.
“Lindsey declared Beautiful Mind a stakes horse very early on in her career although unfortunately she has had a number of setbacks,” Craig said. “Thankfully Lindsey and the owners have shown great patience and they are now being rewarded.”
“She is a big, strong, powerful type that hopefully has some bigger wins install as she steps up over further. I would love to see her next preparation in Melbourne with Lindsey’s team at Warrnambool.”
Beautiful Mind was a $250,000 Inglis Premier Melbourne Yearling Sale purchase and is a daughter of the top-performed mare Small Minds. She won four races, including the G1 Schweppes Oaks and the Listed Adelaide Guineas and both of her foals to race have won.
“Beautiful Mind is superbly bred being by the proven sire So You Think out of the Gr.1 winning Canny Lad mare Small Minds and this black type win has made her a very valuable prospect,” said Craig.
“I am delighted for Tony Patrizi and the fellow owners who have all been tremendous supporters of mine.”
