The 2022 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale was yet again a happy hunting ground for Boomer Bloodstock, as we purchased eight yearlings for clients Murray Thoroughbreds, Matt Cumani, The Hong Kong Jockey Club and Lindsey Smith
Throughout the sale, three purchases were made for the Hong Kong Jockey Club. The colts by I Am Invincible, Magnus and Zoustar will head to the ISG Sale where they will join the four yearlings purchased at Magic Millions in January.

Lot 78 I Am Invincible x Mark Two (Pins) colt $550,000
Yarraman Park continues to be a prolific breeder of quality individuals, especially by their resident stallion in I Am Invincible, with this colt being no exception. The Hong Kong Jockey Club are in the market for strong athletes that will continue to race well into their four and five-year-old seasons, so based on type, this colt was the perfect candidate. In terms of his family, he’s out a G2-placed mare that is a full sister to dual stakes winner Whistling Dixie and a half-sister to stakes performer in Hong Kong, Victory Magic.
Lot 235 Magnus x Simbelation (Bel Esprit) colt $300,000
This colt is an imposing individual, out of a well-related Bel Esprit mare. His sire, Magnus continues to produce consistent progeny and there is plenty of black-type on the page, not only from Australia but from winners in the USA and around Europe. The colt was purchased from the draft of Bucklee Farm, a well-established and reputable farm in Victoria’s north.
Lot 572 Zoustar x Honey Rider (Pins) colt $340,000
This beautiful and well-balanced colt topped the final session of the Inglis Premier Sale and it’s easy to see why he was so popular. He is by a proven young stallion in Zoustar, that has done well in Hong Kong, and out of a young, fast Group 3-winning mare.
Lot 352 Frosted x Amansara (Not A Single Doubt) filly $130,000
This attractive Frosted filly is very forward, and fashioned in the image of her grandsire, Not A Single Doubt. Her dam, Amansara is a half-sister to Listed winner Dr Zhivago and a three-time winner herself. This filly was offered through Stonehouse Thoroughbreds as agent for one of the most prolific nurseries in the country in Mill Park Stud.
Lot 490 Shalaa x Elegant Machine (Alamosa) colt $140,000
Offered by boutique operators Longwood Thoroughbred Farm, this bay colt is an outstanding, classic type with an attitude to match. By the exciting young sire Shalaa, his dam is a versatile four-time winner and half-sister to Listed winner Astronomia. Both myself and trainer Matt Cumani were taken by this colt and his wonderful temperament and we are excited to have secured him for the stable.
Lot 513 Toronado x Fashion Island (Fastnet Rock) colt $130,000
This son of the red hot sire Toronado, has huge potential for the Matt Cumani yard. He is late November foal and a half-brother to recent two-year-old debut winner, Venetian Lass, who is also trained by Matt and purchased at the 2021 edition of this Sale. Multiple Group 1 winner Zipping, as well as black-type performers Work The Room, Memories and Champion 3YO Stayer in GB & England, Scorpion, also feature on this colt’s page.
Lot 51 Toronado x Lipstick Lover (I Am Invincible) filly $320,000
Purchased for longtime client Murray Thoroughbreds, this filly was selected from the draft of B2B Thoroughbreds, a farm that continues to go from strength to strength each year. Out of the stakes-placed Lipstick Lover, who is a half-sister to the G1 winner Ilovethiscity, this athletic daughter of Toronado looks to have every chance to succeed on the racetrack with the aim to become a future broodmare.

Lot 587 Written By x Intuit (Commands) colt $140,000
This sale has proven to be a strong sale for good client and trainer Lindsey Smith. We waited all week to purchase this imposing colt from the draft of Widden Stud, by their impressive resident sire Written By. Out of a two-time winning dam, he is a half-brother to G3 winner Runway Star, and also counts Australian Champion 2YO Filly, Fashions Afield in the family.
