6 Purchases at Easter

Boomer Bloodstock had a successful week at the 2025 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale, securing six quality yearlings on behalf of clients. The market was strong with most stats increasing in comparison to 2024 so we were delighted to advise clients in the purchase of horses that will race in Australia and Hong Kong.

Lot 15: I Am Invincible x L’Cosmo (Filly)

We kicked off the sale early on Day 1 with a well balanced filly by Champion Sire I Am Invincible.  The first foal of the Lonhro mare L’Cosmo, who is a daughter of G1 winner Cosmic Endeavour, she was purchased from Silverdale Farm for $500,000 in partnership with leading Western Australian trainers Pearce Racing and renowned WA farm Yarradale Stud.

Lot 55: So You Think x Merited (Filly)

A beautifully made filly by the proven sire So You Think was the second purchase after a spirited bidding dual.  She was purchased for $420,000 from the Silverdale Farm draft on behalf of Eddie Rigg’s Western Australia farm, Geisel Park Stud.  This powerful So You Think filly is the second foal of the Stakes placed Fastnet Rock mare Merited, who hails from a deep female family.  She has scope and strength and will be trained in the West by Luke Fernie.

Lot 129: Siyouni x Roselyne (Colt)

An exciting acquisition for the Hong Kong Jockey Club was this athletic colt by the Champion French sire Siyouni. He was purchased for $650,000 from Hunter Valley farm, Alma Vale. He is the first foal of his dam who is a half-sister to G1 winner Danceteria and from the family of Campion Sire Lope De Vega and was Boomer’s favourite colt on type in the sale.

Lot 166: Zousain x Silk Trail (Colt)

This strong, impressive colt by Zousain was purchased for $260,000 from Sledmere Stud to join the Hong Kong Jockey Club International Sale team.  He is the second foal of his dam who is a half-sister to G1 Caulfield Guineas winner Private Life, from a fast female line that improves with age.

Lot 204: I Am Invincible x Sweet Kiss (Colt)

Sourced from Yarraman Park for $460,000, this colt by the Champion Sire I Am Invincible caught our eye with his presence and quality. He is from a hard knocking, sound family and is an ideal prospect bound for Hong Kong.

Lot 251: Zoustar x Vulpine (Colt)

Our final purchase of the sale was this sharp Zoustar colt for $420,000 to round out the Hong Kong Jockey Club purchases. He is the first foal of G3 winning Snitzel mare Vulpine and hails from the family of G1 winner and sire Star Witness. Purchased from Southern Highlands breeder Silverdale Farm, this colt will improve with time and develop into a solid sprinter that will suit the Hong Kong conditions.
