Boomer Classic 2023 Purchases

The Classic Sale is the first of Inglis’ five select yearling sales annually. Graduates of this sale have enjoyed unparalleled success across a range of Australia’s largest races, and, at the 2023 version of the sale in Sydney, Boomer Bloodstock bought three quality yearlings.

Lot 19 – Zousain x Renaka (filly)

By first-season sire Zousain, this power-packed filly was bought in conjunction with leading Randwick-based trainer John Thompson for $120,000.. She is out of the Redoute’s Choice mare Renaka, who’s produced four winners from five to race. She is a beautifully balanced type and represents excellent value.

Lot 256 – Toronado x Art Series (colt)

Purchased for The Hong Kong Jockey Club, this colt was a standout of the sale for $420,000 from Cornerstone Stud. He is a great example of his sire, Toronado, whose progeny have done so well in Hong Kong, and is out of Group 3 winner Art Series, a second foal from the Sebring mare. He is an extremely athletic type with class and quality and looks like a real athlete suited to Hong Kong.

Lot 351 – Territories x Crystal Falls (colt)

Our final purchase at Inglis Classic Sale, this Territories colt is a strong and free-moving type from a proven nursery in Turangga Farm. He is the first foal from Group 3-placed Crystal Falls, who’s by the top broodmare sire Medaglia D’Oro. Crystal Falls is a half-sister to Group 2-winning juvenile and Golden Slipper-placed Elite Falls. This colt was purchased for an overseas client for $150,000.
