Boomer hits Easter Sale after hot run in Hong Kong

The highly select, two-day Inglis Easter Yearling Sale invariably provides a great opportunity to hone in on some of Australia’s best bloodstock. After a brilliant run of three ISG winners in three weeks, Boomer Bloodstock headed to this year’s sale and secured three for the Hong Kong Jockey Club and one filly to race in Sydney for clients.

Lot 82 – Divine Prophet x Conversely (IRE) (Filly) – $260,000

Purchased for an existing group of clients, this beautifully balanced filly by Divine Prophet is a half-sister to the dual Group 1 winner Converge. She is out of the Shamardal (USA) mare Conversley (IRE), a young mare whose only other foal to race is a juvenile and finished runner-up in the Kirkham Plate this season.

Her second dam was a Grade 3 winner in the US, and her family have won stakes races all over America and even in Japan. Bought from Evergreen Stud Farm, with her superb temperament and fluid movement she is an exciting early prospect that will be trained in Sydney.

Lot 23 – So You Think x Andresa (Colt) – $900,000

This first of three purchases for the Hong Kong Jockey Club, this magnificent son of So You Think was bought from Davali Thoroughbreds as agent for Bylong Park and is out of a full-sister to multiple G1 winner Mosheen. Her dam, Andresa, is by the brilliant broodmare sire Fastnet Rock, and further back in the family she is related to Hong Kong Champion Miler Lucky Owners.  A strong, correct and handsome type, he’s by a sire that continues to impress and looks well-suited to Hong Kong conditions.

Lot 388 – I Am Invincible x Subsequent (Colt) – $580,000

By Australia’s reigning Champion Sire I Am Invincible, this striking colt is bred by well renowned Queensland breeder Highgrove Stud.  A later maturing classy type, he is a half-brother to G1 winner Summer Passage. He has good bone, a big hip and he has huge scope to keep improving with age.

Lot 411 –  Deep Field x The Soloist (Colt) – $650,000

This athletic colt is by a sire that has been so successful in Hong Kong in Deep Field, and is also out of The Soloist, a half-sister to Hong Kong Champion Sprinter Hot King Prawn. Short-coupled and powerful, this colt is a lovely physical model. He was purchased from the proven nursery of Torryburn Farm, whose recent star graduates include Home Affairs, and given his impressive physique and with both sides of his pedigree proving so successful in Hong Kong he was an obvious choice.
