Productive Premier Sale for Boomer Bloodstock

There was some amazing value on offer for buyers at the 2023 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale in Melbourne, and Boomer Bloodstock signed for a total of nine youngsters – five for Lindsey Smith, two for The Hong Kong Jockey Club, one for Murray Thoroughbreds and one for Greenfields Lodge.

Lot 19 – I Am Invincible x Peaceful (NZ)  (Filly) $300,000

Striking early in proceedings for client Peter Murray of Murray Thoroughbreds, we were able to purchase a sharp, well-balanced filly by Australia’s Champion sire I Am Invincible from the great nursery, Yarraman Park Stud.  She is the first foal of the multiple stakes-winning Savabeel mare Peaceful and is another exciting addition to Murray Thoroughbreds racing team. She will go into training with Anthony & Sam Freedman before ultimately joining Murray Thoroughbreds broodmare band at Three Bridges.

Lot 96 – Written Tycoon x Sammy’s Girl (Filly) $240,000

Our first purchase for Lindsey Smith Racing at Premier was this scopey, athletic filly by Victoria’s Champion Sire Written Tycoon. Purchased from Musk Creek Farm, selling on behalf of Arrowfield Stud, the filly’s dam is by the proven broodmare sire More Than Ready and is out of Australian Champion 3-Year-Old Filly Samantha Miss.

Lot 249 – All Too Hard x Zazita (Colt) $170,000 – HKJC

Stamped exceptionally by his sire, this All Too Hard colt was our first purchase for The Hong Kong Jockey Club. Out of a Zabeel mare, he’s a half-brother to Group 2 winner Amelie’s Star whilst Group 1 Golden Slipper winner Overreach is also on his page.

Lot 276 – Deep Field x Ascertain (USA) (colt) $280,000 – HKJC

Our second purchase for The Hong Kong Jockey Club is this racey colt by Deep Field, who needs no introduction as one of Hong Kong’s leading sires. He’s an outstanding first foal from his fast American dam, a three-time winner, and was purchased from Musk Creek Farm.

Lot 398 – Lean Mean Machine x Eloquent Ruby (filly) $150,000

A lovely filly from the draft of Twin Hills Stud, she’s by emerging sire Lean Mean Machine, who’s showing great promise. This filly is well-related as a half-sister to Listed winner Cardinal Gem, who was also successful as a juvenile, and is a sister to our very own Mean Feat who’s showing good ability, also with Lindsey Smith. Her dam is a sister to G2 Edward Manifold Stakes winner Fontein Ruby and a half-sister to Group 1 winner The Mitigator.

Lot 479 – Deep Field x I’m So Sweet (filly) $200,000

We were thrilled to secure this Deep Field filly for Lindsey Smith, being an outstanding type in our eyes. From the draft of Widden Stud, a renowned nursery, she’s got great strength and depth to her physique and is just the second foal from her winning dam who hails from a very tough family.

Lot 487 – Pride Of Dubai x Inishowen (filly) $220,000

Another for Lindsey Smith Racing, this filly is by the hard knocking sire Pride Of Dubai, responsible for the fantastic Bella Nipotina, and was purchased from leading Victorian farm Rosemont Stud. She’s a terrific stamp, with a deep girth and good bone, and she’s out of an Encosta De Lago mare who has produced two foals to race so far, both winners.

Lot 486 – Toronado x Indi Pacific (filly) $200,000

This scopey filly by the brilliant Toronado was purchased for Western Australian breeders Greenfields Lodge from the draft of Maluka Thoroughbreds. The third foal from the young Blackfriars mare Indi Pacific, this filly’s four-time winning dam was also stakes-placed, and hails from a deep family. She’s a sister to multiple-Listed winner Young Lionel, a three-quarter sister to stakes winner and Group 2-placed Like A Butterfly and a half-sister to two further stakes winners.

Lot 695 – Magnus x Annah Haze (filly) $55,000

Our fifth purchase for Lindsey Smith Racing is this excellent type by Magnus plucked from Book 2. Consigned by Stockwell Thoroughbreds, she’s a lovely mover with plenty of substance about her and was a standout type from the second session.
