Boomer Bloodstock Secures Four Yearlings at Keeneland 

Boomer Bloodstock enjoyed a productive 2026 Keeneland September Yearling Sale, securing four yearlings for clients. The quartet will head west to California, where they will be trained by Dan Blacker. 

The first purchase was Hip 807 out of Book 2, was a well-built colt by Practical Joke out of Steamy, secured for $175,000 from Valkyre Stud for Albaugh Family Stables and partners. The colt is a half-brother to two graded stakes winners.

Another purchase soon followed in Book 2 was Hip 997, a colt by Upstart out of Halo Hollie, who was purchased for $235,000 from Airdrie Stud. A big, beautiful two turn dirt colt Who is a half-brother to two graded stakes winners.

The next purchase was in Book 4 for Radley Equine, securing Hip 2337, a filly by Charlatan out of Motu, for $150,000. Bred by Stonestreet Farm and offered by Summerfield, the filly is the first foal of a graded stakes-placed mare. She is a powerful filly, with an impressive profile and a professional attitude.

The final purchase out of Book 4 was Hip 2503, a colt by Twirling Candy out of Windfall Profit, who was secured for $75,000. Bred by the proven nursery Stone Farm, the colt comes from a strong black-type family and was considered great value at the price. 

The four purchases provide another strong group of prospects for Boomer Bloodstock’s clients, with the yearlings now set to get broken-in down in Florida before making their way to California to Dan Blacker’s stable at Santa Anita.
